Creating LGBTQIA+ Affirming Spaces

Honoring Every Story: Creating LGBTQIA+ Affirming Spaces
For Adults

This educational workshop explores the unique grief and bereavement experiences that may be encountered within LGBTQIA+ communities. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of inclusive language, the significance of chosen family, the impact of disenfranchised grief, and culturally responsive approaches to providing affirming, person-centered support.

Through education, reflection, and interactive discussion, attendees will gain practical strategies for creating welcoming, inclusive environments where every individual's identity, relationships, and grief experience are acknowledged, respected, and honored. This workshop is designed to strengthen compassionate care, enhance cultural humility, and equip participants with tools to better support LGBTQIA+ individuals and families throughout the grieving process.

Upon registration, you will receive virtual link. Register HERE.
